Heyyyy long time no see. I've sort of not been in the mood for translating songs, but here's "Long Way" from JYJ's (that would be Jejung/Yuchun/Junsu from Tohoshinki) first mini-album "The...". To be honest, I haven't listened to the whole thing yet simply because frankly I'm not that interested in them as a trio as opposed to five but this song is still really pretty. I was positively surprised when I heard it!

Life is a journey, and sometimes I lose my wayCollapse )

Oh my, it's been ages! Anyway, WALK is the one Kuu song where she always tears up. I think she's said that it's one of the most important songs of her whole career and I can understand why!

So you keep walking, you keep singingCollapse )

Originally the introduction to Second Session, then they made a full track out of it....everyone loves this song for some reason? Anyway, it has quite....sensual lyrics? I don't know, I like it. It's like the thin line between reality and fantasy, quite trippy she's a genie in a bottle! *gasp*.

the barriers of reality that appear are already diminishingCollapse )

The namesake of this community (take is pronounced "teiku" in Japanese), and my favorite song from Heart Station! Hikki herself said that she got inspiration from Kenji Miyazawa's novel "A Night on the Milky Way Railroad", and that it describes a sort of...out-of-body experience, when one is near death, "dying and becoming like the stars". There's quite a good interpretation of the song here (there's also another translation on that page, if you want to compare).

The wind sharp as a knifeCollapse )
I thought I should finally get around to putting up more lyrics over at OneTVXQ, and couldn't find any existing translations for this song (eve though there's not much to translate). The lyrics are really sweet, and you get to find out just what exactly "lovelight" means.

It's when I first saw your SMILE, lit by the neon lightsCollapse )

Yes, it's the theme song to Final Fantasy XIII. Many have said that it's nothing special, but I love this song. The melody is simple, her vocals are simple, but the arrangement is powerful. And the lyrics are so sweet and heartfelt, for once not being about romantic love but the love that friends feel for each other.

We look up to the sky and see the light shining throughCollapse )

Fangirls ahoy! This is the song for you xD If you ever need to explain someone how you feel when your favorite artist is coming to your hometown to have a concert, just play them this song!

I'll be beautiful as a rose, you better believe it!Collapse )

I know this song is ancient, but the only translation I've been able to find of the Japanese version is.....strange. Some of the parts are translated beautifully, and some made me go WTF, irl (yay for nerdy computer-speak!) Some lines were really tough to translate, so there's notes at the end.

I had a nightmare just before dawn, in it you went away foreverCollapse )

Amaku Hateshinaku is Tohoshinki's song for their new Pinky commercials. It's fun and jazzy, and the lyrics are oh-so-sweet. Sadly it was only released as a digital single. I would so buy it if I could.

Give me a kiss and I can swim anywhere, even into dreamsCollapse )

I haven't been able to find a decent translation of this song anywhere. Each one that I've seen has either been a misplaced translation of the Korean version of this song (the lyrics are not the same), or some strange jumble made with an online translator *frustrated* I hope my take (albeit nowhere near perfect) on it makes the song slightly more understandable.

everyone sketches their own futureCollapse )
